What is Clenbuterol?
Clenbuterol (Clen), originally produced by Sopharma Clenbuterol, is a synthetic drug known as a sympathomimetics (a stimulant). It is not an anabolic steroid, yet the results which can be achieved are very similar in nature to the results one would expect from Anabolic Steroids.
It is a Beta 2 agonist which mean that it is used to stimulate the beta receptors in fat and muscle tissue in the body, thus it is used to treat respiratory conditions such as asthma as it acts as a bronchodilator to facilitate breathing. It is also commonly used as a weight loss drug due to its ability to incinerate fat when used appropriately.
As a result, Clenbuterol is often used during a bodybuilders “cutting cycle” as the drug helps one to lose body fat while increasing muscle mass.
Athletes commonly use Clen for its thermogenic and anti-catabolic effects: the drug has the ability to increase the core temperature of the body while raising the blood pressure and increasing heartbeat by stimulating the muscles of the heart and therefore resulting in higher calorie expenditure. In short its main function is to boost the production and secretion of catabolic steroids produced in the brain.
